It is finally starting to get cooler here which makes perfect weather for hot beverages.
While we love hot teas, we also like flavored coffees and hot chocolate.
Today, I am sharing two mixes that I like to make; one for hot chocolate and one for a flavored coffee mix.
Flavored coffee mixes are delicious, but expensive, so I make my own. Everyone loves this Bavarian Mint Coffee Mix. It is wonderful for gifts or for keeping for yourself. You can use regular coffee or decaf.
The mix makes more than this small jar. I shared. |
BAVARIAN MINT COFFEE MIX
4 candy canes, regular size1/2 cup powdered coffee creamer
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup instant coffee
4 tablespoon cocoa
Break peppermint sticks into pieces. Add all ingredients to blender; blend until well mixed. Store in an airtight container. Use 1 tbsp mix to 6 ounces boiling water.
Servings: approximately 34
HOT CHOCOLATE MIX
1 cup cocoa2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups non-fat dry instant milk
2 cups non-dairy powdered coffee creamer
Put all ingredients in blender and blend until well mixed. Store in airtight container. Use 3 tablespoons of mix to 6 ounces boiling water.
To make an instant mocha use hot coffee instead of water or add instant coffee (1 tsp) when making a serving.
Do you have any favorite mixes that you make?

I'm shopping today and am absolutely buying the ingredients to mix these up! It seems like every post you do, I pin! Also, Pete and I finally got to discuss coming out and digging up a sapling. This weekend is too busy and I'm not sure when the best time is to plant trees, but we would very much like to get at least 2 or 3 Pecan saplings to plant. Do you know the best time?
